Mæd Merc
Maed Merc is made up of Uddhav Mehra and Zain Malik, who formed the band after meeting at UCLA. Their aim was to make music that transcended genres, drawing on their inspiration from rock, hip hop, blues, Punjabi and EDM music. Uddhav is from Amritsar, India and Zain is from London, UK. Despite the vast geographical difference growing up, Zain and Udd initially bonded over their shared passion for the acoustic guitar. Udd studied Audio Engineering at UCLA, and became the producer and engineer for the band, while Zain provided the vocals for the band.
They released their debut album 'Dive Slow' after living and working together for a year in Culver City, as a reflection of their time in college, their international group of friends, and their wholly global experience and outlook on life.
